My New Printer

Here she is-- my new printer. Never had a Epson before, but she's a keeper. Very handy with the touch screen, slide show and power point options as well as hooking up to a wireless network. There are some other features that I'm not remembering right now, but will use here and there when necessary. Had to retire my Dell because it completely died; although it had begun to act up a while back anyway.

The Southern Ten Commandments.

THE SOUTHERN TEN COMMANDMENTS.

This is much easier to remember!!! 1)Just one God. 2) Put nothin' before God. 3) Watch yer mouth. 4) Git yourself to Sunday meetin'. 5) Honor yer Ma & Pa. 6) No killin'. 7) No foolin' around with another feller's gal (or 'nother gal's feller). 8) Don't take what ain't yorn. 9) No tellin' tales or gossipin'. 10) Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff. Now that's plain an' simple. And bless your little cotton pickin heart...♥ Enjoy. Hee Hee

Today

My priest pointed this out during a funeral at our church this morning.

" ____________________ (person's name) knew he was going to die. He didn't know when, but he was prepared."

We're all going to die someday. We don't know when, but we will. Will we be prepared? Just food for thought.

Tenth post today!

This post makes the tenth post I have done today within an hour and a half. Told you I've been busy, hopefully, I can post more often during this next month. Hopefully, I'll have more fun memories to share.

Catching Up

Blogging has not been first on my list of priorites. A month ago, I was at the end of my Spring Break which I thoroughly enjoyed, however, I was worried about how I was going to get the rest of my testing done by the end of April ( as in the 30th) as well as the rest of my IEPs (with the exception of a transition which can't be done until May). Guess what? One month later I met both my goals-- IEPs were finished on the 21st and I finished my testing ONE WEEK EARLY (the 23rd); just in time for the Port Royal Softshell Crab Festival and Sidewalk Arts Festival in Savannah that my brother likes to come down for. What a great way to celebrate!! Problem was, last year, I only had four students to test, spring break came later, and too, we didn't have two days off for the Hertiage, but everything worked out! I stayed a couple days this last week to finish bubbling, check over all seven answer booklets, and pack up the testing materials. Whew... the majority of my work is done, though we have one week, before the PASS testing begins! Summer is coming!!

It's been a while!

Hi!

Still here. April came and went. Had two breaks from school, but very busy with testing and IEPs. The year is winding down. More posts to come.

Almost Over

Wow!

Another month is almost gone. 2009 will be ending this week. Lots of fun this year, but also much, much busyness. Christmas as well as the days preceding it was lots of fun, especially the weekends. This Christmas season probably has been the most fun as well as busy that I have had in a while, but it really has been fun. Our school Christmas party was one of the most enjoyable I've been to in awhile in that we were able to hang out, visit, and just be adults. Hopefully we can have it at the same place as well as the same format next year. Got to do some things this year that I have wanted to do since I've been here, just didn't make the time before now. Hopefully will be able to do those same things next Christmas. One thing that I did not do and had planned to was go to Night on the Town, but it was so cold and rainy, that it just wasn't in me to venture out for that event, plus I was getting a cold, but again, there's always next year. More pix to come. For now enjoy the pretty tree I FINALLY photographed at LIES.

It's been too long

I know it's been a month ( as of tomorrow that is). Lots of pix to post. Have had a FABULOUS summer; already looking forward to next summer. Since I live on the coast have been to the beach SEVERAL times and will probably continue going at least on the weekends ( mainly Sunday afternoons) until it gets to chilly to go. Lots of fun planned for the fall!

Items I DO NOT need for school nor home

calligraphy pens
colored pencils
crayons
glue sticks
markers
Post- It notes
sharpies
writing pens
writing pencils

There maybe some other items I may not need, but can not think of right now. It's rather nice to know what you don't need to buy for the upcoming school year.

My Book and Blogging

Well, I finished my book the other night and ordered it, so it should be in towards the middle of this month. What a way to perserve memories. Looking forward to having it to look back it whenever I feel like it.

When editing all my blog entries to put in this book, I noticed that last summer, I was quite a slacker in the blogging department. Not sure why other than I just didn't have anything to blog about. But I noticed that I went from June 30, 2008 to the beginning of October of this fall without blogging. Planning to do a better job on the blogging front.

My book

While I don't claim to be an author, and probably will never be one, I am really looking forward to receiving my book ( Bluffton Briefings) once I get it editted and mailed off for publication. Blogging is such a good way to keep up with people ( in addition to Facebook), write your thoughts, perserve pix and memories of something ( if not just daily life). It's also an online journal and scrapbook of sorts. I used to keep photo albums and scrapbooks when I was younger and still at home, but I really don't have the time to devote to photo ablums. Scrapbooking, I can make the time, just need to get motivated to do so. I'm looking forward to doing this and hope I can keep up with it. If anything else it'll give my future children and other relatives something to read and talk about in my old age. It'll be interesting to read and look back at in the future.

Happy July!

Here we are July already! Keep enjoying the summer; I sure am!
